Born and raised in Norfolk, VA, LaShonda moved from her hometown and relocated to Maryland after receiving her Bachelors of Science in Fashion Merchandising and minor in Marketing at Old Dominion University. It was during her undergrad years, she found her love for the glitz and glam of the beauty world. 

Who would have thought all it took was for a stroll through a very popular department store with a full face of makeup, she would land her very first professional job as a beauty advisor? For three years she worked with many brands ranging from Lancome, Dior, Smashbox, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Dermablend and Clinque. Some people have talks about things just falling in their lap, and that’s exactly how it happened for LaShonda!

After receiving many compliments and beautiful reactions to her craft she decided to pursue a career in the Beauty industry as a freelance makeup artist. Shortly after she created  Brown Bella Beauty which specializes in providing a flawless makeup application for wedding parties, special events and photo shoots. 

With her willingness to help others and increasing self-confidence, LaShonda has continued to sharpen her skills and expand her services by becoming a Licensed Aesthetician  completing three certifications in Permanent Eyebrow makeup.. Her mission is to make each client their own “GOALS”
